About Us

  • MISSION OF ORGANIZATION

Halo’s Closet provides clothing to families in need while fostering artistic expression. Through our programs and annual fashion show, we empower individuals to embrace their identity—both in creativity and in Christ—helping believers grow and guiding new believers in discovering their purpose.

    Organizational Background

Halo’s Closet, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and trademarked organization, a bold reflection of our commitment to serving with integrity and purpose.

Guided by a dedicated board of directors who oversee strategic direction and organizational growth. Our funding comes from donors, community sponsorships, fundraisers, and clothing donations. We are both honored and humbled by the opportunity to make a lasting footprint in our community over the years.

  • FOUNDERS

Founded in 2017 by Michael and Angelica Trujillo, Halo’s Closet began as a clothing ministry inspired by their own struggles with poverty and affording even second-hand clothing. Their firsthand experience sparked a deep passion to create a clothing donation initiative, which evolved into street ministries that provided free clothing across the Denver Metro area.

As they engaged with communities, they noticed a gap: well-off families frequently donated clothing, while struggling families often lacked access to appropriately sized, seasonally suitable clothing. This realization led to an eco-friendly, technology-driven approach—connecting donors directly with families based on their needs called “Connecting Clothing to the Community”

  • OUR IMPACT

Beyond meeting physical needs, Angelica recognized that clothing is a powerful tool for self-expression and confidence. This inspired the Halo’s Closet Fashion Show, launched in 2019, where individuals of all ages, shapes, and backgrounds showcase their identity through Christ and creativity.

"At the heart of our mission, our weekly Bible studies have profoundly impacted both our founders and participants, fostering immense personal growth and transformation.

To date, we have served hundreds of families and engaged an average of 40 youth annually in our artistic programs. Over the years, we’ve partnered with Sarah’s Home, Center for Talent at Greenlee, Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design, Hope 4 Tomorrow, Joshua Station, Toys for Tots, and many other churches and outreach programs
